PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING (CITY & GUILDS)

Delegates should have a good understanding of the certificate syllabus based on the IEE Code of Practice for in-servicing Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment and its practical application.

All delegates must complete a ten-question test paper prior to booking for this course to determine your ability. It is strongly advised that you achieve at least 80% correct answers

Based on the Code of Practice candidates will complete a one hour ‘on-line’ examination and be required to demonstrate an ability to inspect and test an item of class 1 equipment and correctly complete forms Va, Equipment register and Vb equipment formal visual and combined inspection test record

 

Delegates will need their own copy of the IEE Code of Practice for the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment book for the duration of the course. This book is available from bookstores such as Waterstones and WH Smith or from Amazon (ISBN 978-0-86341-833-4)

Delegates can also purchase Exam Success:  IEE Code of Practice 2377 (ISBN 978-0-86341-805-1) book - although this is not compulsory
