Training Officer Service

For many smaller companies the appointment of a Training Officer is not a feasible option.

The EEF West Midlands Technology Centre offers the solution by providing a professional Training Officer to work with your company ensuring you get the expertise you require when you need it.

The Training Officer Service is established to provide companies with a specialist training advisor able to offer practical help and support whilst developing an ongoing professional relationship.

Formulate your company training policy and develop appropriate training plans
Audit employee skills and identify training needs on an ongoing basis
Develop an appropriate quality assured training strategy
Providing an apprentice service including: recruitment, monitoring of provision, interim training, creation of training programmes
Able to implement National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)
Devise and install management development and appraisal systems as appropriate
Compile company training programmes
Assist in obtaining UK and European grants towards training initiatives
Searching for and booking appropriate “quality” external training courses
Providing a telephone help-line
Regular mailing of information bulletins
Access to the NVQ database and library of all SEMTA NVQ publications, including careers information for engineering occupations
Liaison on behalf of the company with local providers of education and training, including: local universities, colleges, schools, group training providers and training and enterprise councils

We charge for the Service at a daily rate. The number of days required to deliver the Service will vary from company to company, depending on circumstances. We will negotiate the number of days with you at the time of joining.
